As part of the Belsen Tippgemeinschaft's closing ceremony on Saturday, May 18, 2019, BSV chairman Maico Marquardt honored Thorsten Sievert for 25 years of service to BSV Belsen. Since Thorsten has been living in Bavaria for several years now, he was unable to attend the BSV's annual general meeting in March. The honor was now able to be presented, as many BSV members, former club members, and friends of BSV Belsen were present at the closing ceremony! Dear Thorsten, thank you for your loyalty to the club!

Rodehorst and Hohbein honored for 25 years of membership!
Last Friday, March 15, 2019, the BSV Belsen von 1976 eV invited members to this year's Annual General Meeting in its clubhouse.
After the welcome and confirmation of attendance by club chairman Maico Marquardt, secretary Sandra Stolzmann read the minutes of last year's 2018 general meeting.
Marquardt then reported on the past year of the association, mentioning, among other things, the numerous work services performed by the members in 2018.
Of course, the report also included the B Cup final match on Friday, June 15, 2018, between SC Wietzenbruch 2 and 1. FC Celle 1.
Marquardt also touched on the 2018 cup tournament, with the winning team "Buddy and Friends," as well as the Club Day, which took place under the motto "Club (t) in Bergen" and in which BSV Belsen participated with two stands. The chairman also mentioned the various construction projects that had been completed at the BSV sports facility.
The chairman explained to those present that several events were also planned for the current club year. He mentioned the sports field flea market, which will be held on Saturday, May 18th, and the tournament weekend on June 15th/16th, with the men's five-a-side tournament on Saturday and the U14 five-a-side tournament on Sunday.
The small-field soccer tournament as part of the city of Bergen's holiday pass campaign on Saturday, July 27, 2019, as well as the Sparkasse soccer school at the BSV facility from Friday, August 30, to Sunday, September 1, 2019.
Of course, there are some work services and construction projects planned again this year, as the chairman explained in conclusion.
Following his reports, Marquardt honored several long-standing members for their 10 and 25 years of membership in the BSV. Unfortunately, some of those honored could not attend the ceremony due to work or illness, so the chairman was only able to honor Hagen Rodehorst and Oliver Hohbein for their 25 years of service.
Afterwards it was the turn of treasurer Bernd Stolzmann to present his financial report.
Stolzmann explained that the club's 2018 year ended with a positive result.
The auditors, Edgar Poog and Sebastian Marquardt, certified that the treasurer's cash books were kept impeccably and clearly and requested the discharge of the treasurer and the entire executive board.
This was unanimously approved by those present.
This was followed by a report from Fabian Cohrs, head of the football department. Cohrs outlined the sporting successes and failures of the BSV football teams. He touched on their participation in the Krombacher Lower Saxony Championship for over-60s players on June 16, 2018, in Groß Hehlen, as well as their participation in the Krombacher Lower Saxony Championship for over-50s players, in which they were eliminated in the second round.
Of course, the placement of the men's team in the 2017/2018 season in the 2nd district league, as well as the current placement and outlook for the current 2018/2019 season were discussed.
At the end of his report, Cohrs announced that the BSV will register a U14 junior team for the upcoming season.
Now it was the turn of the Darts department's head, Roman Aslett, to deliver his report. Aslett succinctly explained that, unfortunately, due to departures in the 2017/2018 season, the team was unable to maintain its league position and is currently in 6th place this season. He is confident that he can earn enough points in the remaining matches to secure a solid mid-table position in the league.
Following the reports, the election for the second auditor took place. Oliver Hohbein was nominated and unanimously elected.
Edgar Poog resigned as auditor and Sebastian Marquardt was promoted to 1st auditor.
The last items on the agenda were dealt with quickly, allowing the chairman to end the 2019 Annual General Meeting early!
